Big Companies Shall Swallow Small Enterprisers

Big companies shall swallow small enterprisers.

In India big companies have come and they are entering all the fields. They have opened even eating houses, general merchant market and even ration shops have been established by the big companies. They are deploying people and it is an accepted thing that they are supplying the customers better items and items of good quality and at the same time they are supplying to their customers items at cheaper rate because they believe in big sale and they know that when there is sale of on large scale, they shall earn profits. These shops are being established in each town and people are being attracted to these shops.

The small shopkeepers had their time and they were not meeting all the demands of the people and since they had been giving to the customers articles at credit, the people who became customers once, they were not in a position to leave those shopkeepers and go another shop. Once a debtor always a debtor and now the people are understanding that they shall be having more benefits if they purchase items of their daily use at cash system. It seems the people who are small shopkeeper and who are running small enterprisers shall be joining these big shopkeepers as sales men, as stock holders or the like and in due course all establishments shall be working on behalf of these big industrialists and commercial establishments. Only the people expert in the line of economics could tell us whether this system shall be beneficial for the people or it shall bring more unemployment and more poverty. A common man shall not be able to tell about this coming period.

As far as India is concerned, they had been indulging in small enterprisers and even Mahatma Gandhi had been in favour of small industries and when we are now in open market facing challenges from all the sides, we shall have to enter big industries because these small units shall not be able to compete with industrial and commercial establishments. The experts in India must take up this matter and must see that what we do that should be in the interest of our people who are mostly illiterate, untrained and non-experts. They are not in a position to enter this competitive market which is coming into being in this country. These big establishments shall not engaging these illiterate and untrained people and there are chances that unemployment shall become a new problems for us. These unemployed people shall be creating more troubles for the people and India shall become a disturbed country. Therefore, the state must think over this matter once again before they are allowing these big industrialists and commercial units to enter the common market with is presently in hands of small enterprisers.

SAT Prep- Best Advice

SAT Prep- Best Advice

The single most important action you can take to prepare yourself to do your best on the SAT is starting your preparation as early as possible.  Most people spend one or two months prepping for the SAT.  Two months is certainly better than not prepping at all.  That said, prepping for six months is a lot better than prepping for two months.

Here are a couple of points to consider.

1. The SAT is a limiting factor in determining what Colleges you are eligible to attend.  While you shouldn’t have a tough time getting into a third tier college with a 00 on your GMAT, you would be hard pressed to get into a TOP  program with a 1800.

This sounds obvious, but the point to consider is that it’s a one way stream.  A high SAT score means a lot of options and a low SAT score means fewer options (not ‘less’ options!!).

2. Anyone, let me repeat, ANYONE can improve their SAT score.

3. The more you prepare, the better you get.  While the SAT is ‘supposed’ to be an aptitude test of skills that are gained over years, experience of thousands of students has proved that more preparation generally equals higher score.

Does this mean you can’t improve your SAT score in two months?  No, not at all.  In fact, you can improve your SAT score 100, 0, 300 points in a couple of weeks of hard work.

The most important part about prepping early is knowing your baseline.  To do this, you need to take a sample SAT.  Luckily there are lots of services out there that allow you to take a SAT practice test to see where you currently stand.  Then, when you see where your strengths and weaknesses,  you’ll know what you’ve got ahead of you in terms of prepping time and effort.  Maybe you only need a few weeks of geometry review to be solid in geometry, but maybe you need a few months to review your grammar rules.  The sooner you get a baseline the sooner you know what you have to do.

Make sure you have time to take the whole test in one sitting, or, at least, each section in one sitting.  And make sure there are no cell phones ringing or people knocking on your door.  Let’s just say no disturbance of any kind.  Use a pen and some paper for scratch notes.  Take it seriously.  Don’t give up or stop half way through.  It’s not uncommon to have a strong resistance to taking standardized tests and/or preparing for them.  Remember this.

Preparing and improving on the SAT is about learning skills.  You can learn skills with time and effort.  So, lower your resistance to taking a practice SAT.  Take the plunge and know, sooner rather than later, what you have ahead of you in terms of prepping and improving.

Finding out where you stand is the first step towards becoming a SAT Winner. You then need to prepare a study plan, identify the best way to learn from your mistakes, go through basic study material, plan your sample tests and much more..

And if you looking at your personal best score, you also need to learn ways to approach difficult problems, to control your tension level when you get a series of difficult questions, cherry pick your study material to get the best for your money and more importantly, your time…  and so on.

It certainly is a tall order, but fortunately, you are not alone in your journey. Have a look at the link below to see how you can learn from the experience of hundreds of students who have gone on to become SAT Winners.

Stop Loss Order for Day Trading

Stop Loss Order for Day Trading

What is Stop Loss Order?

Stop loss order is an order to close position if/when losses reaches a particular point. In other words this is an order by which you can decide the maximum loss that you are ready to accept. Here we are going to discuss only Stop Loss Order regarding Day Trading, but the same principle can be used for Swing Trading or Long Term Trading.

Following Example can explain the point.

If u have placed a buy order at 100. You need not place a stop loss order till your trade gets executed. Once your trade gets executed, you have to place another order for Stop Loss.

Now lets assume that CMP(Current Market Price) is 100.50.

Stop Loss Order should be like this

Type= Sell

Quantity = Quantity you have got (received).

Price=99.40

Trigger price =99.50

Note: Trigger price is the price at which your order gets triggered (fired). Till then it’s on hold.

So in our example If CMP falls from 100.50 to 99.55 nothing will happen but at 99.50 your order (Stop Loss) for sell will get executed at a price of 99.40 so your loss would be limited to 0.60 (100-99.40) only.

Additional Points:

Percentage Of Stop Loss

For day trading stop loss of 1-2% max is recommended. Some traders like me use 0.5% stops, which is what I have explained (100-0.5%*100=99.5). You have to decide the % according to your experience & confidence.

If you don’t use stop loss order the price can go down by 5% or even 20% & you won’t be able to do much then, hence for every trade without fail you should use stop loss order.

A warning, don’t ever think that just because you have placed stop loss order, you are 100 % safe. That’s not the case even after a stop loss order you can suffer huge loss. Surprised? See how.

In the above example if the your stop loss order gets triggered at 99.50 for 99.40 but there is no buyer at 99.40 so the order will get triggered but not executed till there is some one ready to buy at 99.40. In mean while some one else has put a sell order at 99.30, now you are at number two still waiting, then if some one puts a sell order at 99.10 you are at number three & hence your order may left behind while others keep putting orders at less than your order & you may wonder why my stop loss order did not get execute!!!!!!!!!!!

Solution for above problem is as follows.

The gap between trigger price & price is important. If you want your stop loss order to be more secured, increase the gap.( Gap between Trigger Price & Price). i.e. triggered price at 99.50 & price 99.10(instead of 99.40). You should change the gap depending upon the share you trade. More volatile stocks require big Gap while for slow movers small Gap is enough. You can decide the Gap on the basis of difference between best buy & best sell (bid /ask) in second window.

Stop Loss For Shorting

For shorting that is selling first & then buying, the stop loss order has to be reversed as follows.

If you have shorted at 100(CMP=99.50)

Stop Loss order should look like this

Type =Buy

Quantity = Quantity you have shorted

Price=100.60

Trigger Price =100.50

Cancel/Modify Stop Loss Order

The most important thing if your stop loss does not get hit & you earn profit by squaring of your position; do not forget to cancel the stop loss order. Yes I repeat do not forget to cancel the stop loss order. Other better option is that you can modify your stop loss order as Trailing Stop till the execution. (I do this as I forget to cancel the stop loss order.)

Following example can explain how you can do this.

Your Stop Loss for first example was 99.50 for 99.40, right? Now if the CMP has gone up from 100.50 to 102.20, you can modify your stop loss order to 101.10 in place of 99.50 & 101.00 for 99.40. If price keeps going up, keep following the price by modification.

Always remember the following rule.

For buy’s Stop Loss Order (Type=Sell) “Trigger Price” should be more than “Price” of Stop Loss Order & for Short Selling’s Stop Loss Order (Type=Buy) “Trigger Price” should be less than “Price” of Stop Loss Order.

Important Note:

Some Trading Systems allow Trader to enter Stop Loss Order at the time of Actual Order and some Systems allow Stop Loss Order to get automatically cancelled against squaring off position.

Happy Day Trading

Marketing Concept – How It All Began

Marketing Concept – How It All Began

The Marketing concept became predominant around the 1970′s. Till then there were basically other philosophies such as the production concept, product concept and the sales concept that were in practise throughout the historic time frames. However, as the time passed by each of the philosophies that were predominant during each time frame gradually under went changes, because of the changes that took place in the consumer market. As a result, the marketing concept emerged and was the focus of all the manufacturing organisations. eventhough some firms may still practise  other philosophies. having said that, in order to understand the marketing concept better, it is vital to have a look at each of the other philosophies that existed.

Production Concept

The production concept is considered to be one of the earliest concepts that prevailed from the time of the industrial revolution upto the late 1920′s. The main focus of this concept was to encourage the firms to produce products, that they were capable of producing, rather than trying to concentrate on goods that gave customer satisfaction.

The manufacturing firms basically assumed that the people were willing to buy the products that the firms could produce. On this assumption, the firms began to come up with basic goods that were necessary for the day to day living. The firms harly took any interest in concentrating on the choices and tastes of the consumers. They started producing goods on a large scale, which eventually dropped the cost of production. As a result, the goods produced were relatively cheap.  The consumers had no other choice but to buy the products that were on the market. Hence these goods were necessary for the day to day living  and was even cheaper, the products sold quite well in the beginning. As a result, the mass production consept became widely spread during that time.

However, as time passed by the competition began to increase. More and more competitors that produced the same or similar products came into the market. The supply of goods gradually increased. In other words, to say the supply exceeded the demand of the consumers. Now that the consumers had a lot to choice from the many suppliers, the goods that were produced by the firms began to pile up on the shelves, and it  was obviuosly time for the firms to find new strategies to move all their products off the shelves. In other means, the production concept was no longer working and the firms had to come up with another way to sell their products.

Product Concept

In order to create demand for the goods that were already piling up on the shelves, the firms began to focus on what was known as the product concept. Likewise the production concept this concept too ignored the consumer preferences. Instead, it focussed mainly on the product itself, thus concentrating on improving the quality of the products and adding different features to it, in order to make it look attractive and superior to the other competitor products. What they really wanted to do was to differentiate their products form the rest of the competitors , rather than concentrating on the large scale low cost prodcution By improving the products, the firm believed that the consumers will be attracted to their products, which will eventually get the products off the shelves.

As predicted, the products that were piled up on the shelves and warehouses began to move slightly as the demand for the goods increased. But it was not for long before, when the other competitors too crept in with better quality products. This once again, paved the way to reduce the demand. As the demand fell, the firms basically had to look for other ways in which to increase their sales if they were to keep up with the competitors. What they basically did was come up with a new concept that concentrated on the sales aspect of production, and was the beginning of the sales concept.

Sales concept

The sales concept mainly focused on selling the pordcuts manufactured by the firms in order to increase the sales volume. In other words, the main aim of firms practising this concept was to some how try and sell their products to the consumers better than their competitors. They hardly took into consideration what the consumers thought was important, but instead what they really wanted to do was to sell the products that have already been produced, by way of convincing the consumers to buy it. In order to convince the consumers to buy what they have produced, they used techniques such as advertising and personal selling etc. The main intention was to make the consumers aware of their products and make it available to them with the hope that they will buy. At first, this really worked because the consumers bought products that they were well aware of.

But later, as the income of the people began to increase and the amount of different products that were introduced to the market went up, the consumers were no longer willing to buy what the firms produced. In stead, they basically looked for goods and services that were up to their expectations. The hard selling concept was no longer effective. The firms basically had to look for better strategies in order to keep up with the ever increasing competition, if they were to survive . As a result, they began to focus their attention to another direction which was know as the marketing concept.

Marketing Concept

Unlike the other philosophies that existed at different time frames, market concept was a philosophy that mainly focussed on the needs and wants of the consumers. This concept belived that if the organizations are to increase their sales and obtain profitable sales, then they basically have to concentrate on the tastes of the consumers. In other means, the firms should find out what the consumers need, in order to produce goods that will keep up to their expectations. It is rather vital to first understand what exactely do the concumers want, and then produce those goods and services.

To say, the focal point of the marketing concept is to identify and satisfy the needs of the customers. As a result,  in order to produce exactely what the consumers demand for, it is important to look into areas such as what the consumers want, how to improve the products while meeteing their needs and also how to keep the customers satisfied throughout. To do so, market concept basically relies on market research. What actually means by this is that, as marketing concept is a customer focus concept , it is market research that helps to find out exactely the consumers wants thus helping to develop the marketing plan, and also deciding on the marketing mix in order to achieve profitable returns while meeting customer satisfaction.

To conclude, it should be said that marketing concept came into practise as a result of the need to satisfy customer needs. The philosophies that existed were no longer helpful in facing the competition and producing products that the consumers demanded for. In this ever changing competitive environment, the customers were considered the most important. If the  firms were to survive, then they obviously have to satisfy the needs of the customers. The tastes of the consumers kept changing with the development of new technologies and communication facilities, and the firms have to walk hand in hand with the ever changing demands of the consumers. However, if the firms fail to keep up with the ever changing needs of the consumers, then obviously there is arisk of facing the competition.

Cold and Flu – Protection, Prevention and Treatment

Cold and flu are the most commonly occurring illnesses in the entire world, with more than 1 billion colds per year reported in the United States alone. The common cold is a self-limit

ed illness caused by any 1 of more than 200 viruses. You usually do not need to call your doctor if you catch a cold. For more severe symptoms or a prolonged duration of symptoms, you should visit your doctor. An office visit will usually be fine.

I. How to protect yourself from cold and flu

1. Stop stress – Pushing yourself too hard depresses the immune system. When your defenses are down, you are vulnerable to a cold or flu virus.

2. Healthy diet – A healthy diet is important to keep your immune system strong. Avoid junk food and consume more fruits, vegetables and plenty of non-caffeinated liquids.

3. Taking vitamin C daily – During cold season, taking extra vitamin C helps to strengthen your defenses against cold viruses. This helps to reduce the severity of cold symptoms. Be sure to wash your hand after using any office equipment, especially when one of your co-workers have colds.

II. If you have a cold

1. Drink a lot of hot fluids Traditionally, a family member who has cold or flu is only allowed to take hot chicken soup and chicken congee, avoiding all the hard to digest and cold foods. No one knows why but it works more effectively. Hot tea also keep the nasal passages open.

2. Take an antihistamine to relieve stuffy nose.

3. Treat coughs with the right cough medicine Coughs that produce phlegm can be treated by the ingredient guaifenesin which loosens the mucus that causes you to cough. If you have a dry and irritating cough, dextromethorphan might be used to suppress it during the night so you can sleep. Unless absolutely necessary do not use antibiotics. Overuse of antibiotics do more harm than good to your body.

Central San Diego Real Estate Market – Mid Year Snapshot Of Median Prices (2006) – Single Family Homes

Central San Diego Real Estate Market – Mid Year Snapshot of Median Prices (2006) – Single Family Homes

As of this writing, the San Diego real estate markets appears to have shifted from one that favors sellers to one that favors buyers. However, this premise may not hold true for all communities within San Diego, as median prices for some communities continue to rise while others fall.

While there are many metrics to evaluate the real estate pricing trends of a community, one commonly used parameter is to evaluate the median price of homes from one point in time against a prior point of time. The median price reflects the point at which half the homes are above a particular price point, and half the homes are below a particular price point. The median price metric provides one method to analyze the direction of home prices, but should not be used as the sole source of data from which to form conclusions.

The data below is a comparison of median prices for various communities in central San Diego County, comparing data from June 2005 against data for June 2006. This information is only one metric at a particular point in time, and other metrics or data from future months may support or dispute the pricing trends noted below. For some of the San Diego communities presented below, very few homes sold during June 2006, which diminishes the usefulness of the median price metric.

Types of Job Interview Questions

The list of possible interview questions can be quite large and overwhelming. Fortunately, there are only really five different types of interview questions. This structure helps put these questions into a manageable framework. The five different types of interview questions:

1. Resume-Related Questions (You Questions)

2. Qualifications for Job Questions

3. Behavioral Questions

4. Case Interview Questions

5. Personality Questions

Resume- Related Questions (You Questions)

This group of questions can be described as “You” questions because they tend to center around what “you” have done. Sample Interview questions could include:

• Tell me about yourself?

• What did you major in at college?

• What did you do in this position?

The main focus of these questions is to try to find out whether your resume information is accurate and whether you have exaggerated or been modest about your credentials. This is most often done by asking questions based on the information shown in your resume.

Job Qualification Questions

These questions will be generated mainly from the job description and may overlap somewhat with Resume-Related questions. They are designed to see if you have the experience or qualifications for the position at a general level. They will ask you sample interview questions like:

• Have you ever managed a team before?

• Do you have any experience with conflict resolution?

• Have you ever given a presentation to external customers?

Behavioral Questions

These questions try to specifically determine whether you have the appropriate level of experience or qualifications for the position. They tend to go deeper than Job Qualification Questions by having you provide answers based on your prior work experience. These questions provide you with a basic problem scenario and expect you to be able to answer it based on a prior work experience example. Sample Interview questions could include:

• Tell me about a time you used your conflict resolution skills?

• Tell me about a project where you implemented a process improvement idea?

• Give me an example of a time you failed to complete a project on time and how you went about correcting the issue?

These questions can take on the form of a positive or a negative and so it is a good idea to have thought out ahead of time examples that you will want to use. It is also a good idea to try to identify before hand what are likely to be the skills they will base their behavioral questions on. For example, a salesman might expect to get behavioral questions based presentation skills. One such question could be give me a time when you gave a successful presentation to a client or for customer service skills, tell me about a time when you used your customer service skills to help keep an upset customer with the company.

Case Interview Questions

These types of questions tend to be tailored toward client focused positions like consulting and sales. They essentially involve providing you with a list of facts surrounding a company problem and ask you how to address the issue. Depending on the position, this may include doing things like performing mathematical computations or creating presentation aids. Regardless of the position, you can expect to have to present your findings and answer follow-up questions.

The purpose of these types of interview questions is to see how you think, whether you can perform under a stressful situation and, determine whether your personality is a good fit for the team. These interview questions usually are conducted on a one on one basis; however, you can also answer these questions as part of a group as a way for some companies to judge your interpersonal skills.

Personality Questions

These types of questions usually take on two forms. One form is a formal standard test that asks you a lot of questions about what types of things you prefer or would choose to do based on a list of options. The second form of personality questions are the informal type that can occur anywhere in the interview process and are geared towards determining if you are a good personality fit for the position. Sample interview questions could include:

• What was the score of the Cowboys game last night?

• What did you think of the last episode of American Idol?

The purpose of these questions is to see if you are well rounded enough to be able to talk to a prospective client about a general topic like American Football or a popular television show.

By getting a basic familiarity of these types of sample interview questions, you will help reduce your overall learning curve. Although interview questions tend to get most of the attention in other interviewing guides and books, you should instead divide your focus between all aspects of the interview process. By having a more comprehensive outlook on the interview process, you will tend to have better results by appearing more well-rounded and professional to your interviewers throughout the entire interview process.
